Lille put their disappointing defeat to AS Saint-Etienne behind them with a convincing 3-1 home victory over Reims.

Les Dogues have now won four of their last five, and while European qualification looks to be beyond them, they appear keen to ensure that they will end the season strongly.

Lille looked excellent from the opening minute and forced Kossi Agassa into several smart stops.

The breakthrough came on 17 minutes when a Sebastien Corchia free kick deflected off Prince Oniangue and past the stranded Togo stopper.

It could have been two less than quarter of an hour later when the keeper had to save a Sofiane Boufal effort, and Agassa also blocked a penalty by Divock Origi.

However, the on-loan Liverpool forward had the last laugh as he finished from close range just after the break.

Nicolas de Preville gave Reims a glimmer of hope on 52 minutes when he sent a freekick past Vincent Enyeama, but Nolan Roux guaranteed victory on 77 minutes.
