Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho lays down gauntlet for his squad

The Red Devil’s compatriot has been having a great season with the Blues, scoring 12 goals and creating another seven in 30 Premier League appearances so far.

However, Fellaini’s teammate David De Gea may not be too happy with this suggestion, as the Spaniard has also been in amazing form. Without the keeper, the Old Trafford outfit may not even be in the top four.

There are also some other credible candidates for the prize, with Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez also having stellar campaigns. However, none of this group are likely to win the league title like Hazard, with the Stamford Bridge side seven points clear at the top with a game in hand.

The 27-year-old said: “Eden Hazard. It’s true he is quick and has very strong legs, so he turns quickly. It’s hard to get the ball off him, but it’s possible! Ha ha! He’s a great player.”

The pair will go up against each other on April 18, with both sides likely needing to win in order to further consolidate their positions in the upper echelons of the top flight.
