Atletico Mineiro will welcome Santa Fe to Brazil for tonight’s Group 1 Copa Libertadores tie.

Time: 5:45pm PDT / 8:45pm EDT / 1:45pm BST
Date: Thursday 9th April 2015
Where: Estadio Governador Magalhaes Pinto, Belo Horizonte, Brazil

After three group games, the Brazilians currently lie third in their group with three points, three points behind tonight’s Colombian opponents. Chileans Colo Colo lead the group with nine points from four games.

The momentum in the group is with Santa Fe. After losing their opener 1-0 at home to Atletico Mineiro, they then beat Colo Colo 3-1 and Liga MX side Atlas 1-0.

Atletico Mineiro have lost their last two, as Atlas secured an historic 1-0 win in Brazil and Colo Colo won 2-0 in Chile.

Domestically, Colo Colo are second in Chile’s Primera Division with 23 points from 13 games, four behind leaders Cobresal. Atletico Mineiro are third in the Mineiro State Championship and trial Caldense and Cruzeiro.

A win for the visitors would almost assure them of a place in the knockout stages, while a win for the hosts would set the group up for a frantic final two games.
