Why the summer transfer window could prove the biggest of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal career

Television personality Morgan, who made his name as the Editor of the Daily Mirror before going on to star in shows in the UK and America, has called for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to be sacked on a number of occasions.

Wenger has split opinion on the terraces in recent years but he led his side to the FA Cup last season and yesterday guided them to their eighth successive Premier League victory, with a 1-0 success at Burnley leaving them with an outside chance of winning the title.

His stock is rising once more but Morgan has once again suggested the standards set at the Emirates Stadium are still not sufficient, and he took to Twitter to mock the fans who want Wenger to remain at the helm.

Arsenal occupy second position in the table, four points behind leaders Chelsea who have two games in hand, one of which is this afternoon at neighbours Queens Park Rangers.

The north London outfit are also in with a chance of retaining the FA Cup, having reached the semi-finals, where they will take on Championship side Reading.
