1) Yaya Toure
A big name who performed well below par in the Manchester Derby defeat at Old Trafford this weekend, Yaya Toure has had a desperately poor season after such a stunning campaign last year and surely needs to be shown the door.
2) Vincent Kompany
Once their best defender and leader, Vincent Kompany now looks well past his peak and is becoming a liability at the back for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
3) Stevan Jovetic
Signed from Fiorentina last season, Stevan Jovetic has made little to no impact since moving to City and needs to be shipped off for someone less injury prone.
4) Fernando
A failed transfer this season, Brazilian midfielder Fernando doesn’t quite look up to playing at this level and needs replacing in the middle of the park.
5) Fernandinho
Much worse this season than he was last year, Fernandinho has gone backwards and surely won’t improve a great deal at the age of 29.
6) Samir Nasri
A player still resting on his repuation, Samir Nasri has not really done the business since joining City from Arsenal back in 2011 and needs replacing with a truly world class attacking midfielder.
7) Jesus Navas
A risky signing that hasn’t paid off, Jesus Navas does not do enough on the pitch for City to keep justifying a place in the team and looks like he’d be better off back in the less pressured level of La Liga.
8) Edin Dzeko
A striker who just doesn’t score enough, Edin Dzeko has had a poor season and doesn’t look like the answer upfront for the Etihad Stadium club.
9) Aleksandar Kolarov
A player who hasn’t really improved in recent times, Aleksandar Kolarov could probably be replaced by a more top-quality left-back.
10) Dedryck Boyata
An unused backup player, Dedryck Boyata has been poor whenever called upon and needs to be sold if anyone will take him.
