1) Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The obvious candidate for Player of the Year at the moment, Chelsea star Eden Hazard has lit up the Premier League this season and looks almost guranteed to scoop the prize if he can help the Blues wrap up the title in their next few games.

2) Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

One of the signings of the summer, Alexis Sanchez has been excellent in the Premier League for Arsenal this season and could also be in the running if he ends the season well.

3) Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

More likely to win the Young Player of the Year award, Harry Kane’s goalscoring record for Tottenham has been incredible this season and he is surely a future winner.

4) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Unlikely to take the prize due to Manchester City’s poor overall form, but Sergio Aguero has had another stand-out season, and is joint-top of the scoring chars in England at the moment.

5) Diego Costa (Chelsea)

Another serious contender from league leaders Chelsea, Diego Costa has had a brilliant debut season in the Premier League and could still finish as top scorer.

6) Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

Costa’s partner in crime, Cesc Fabregas has been another huge signing for the Blues, forming a great partnership with his fellow Spaniard to inspire their great run at the top of the table.

7) Santi Cazorla (Arsenal)

A hugely improved player this season, Santi Cazorla could be an outsider for the award after his great form in midfield for Arsenal.

8) Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Surely a player who has not quite done enough, but Wayne Rooney looks back to his best for Manchester United and could be in consideration if he keeps playing like this.

9) David de Gea (Manchester United)

Goalkeepers never seem to win these awards, but if one deserves it it’s Manchester United’s David de Gea, who has been world class for the Red Devils this season.

10) Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

Again, a long shot, but Thibaut Courtois has been another of Chelsea’s best players this season and might be in with a shout of the prize.
