Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea players past and present are all among the best, but not the ones you would expect. How did some of this lot manage to get in?

10) Paddy McNair, Manchester United, played 12, won 9, win ratio 75%

The youngster only broke in to the side this season, and it wasn’t during a particularly good time for the Red Devils. However, he has somehow come out of it with a great win ratio. Maybe the centre-back is key to the future of their defence?

9) Nacho Monreal, Arsenal, played 57, won 43, win ratio 75.4%

Last season the Spaniard made a habit of coming on to help close out victories for the Gunners, which may have helped his rating here. Good form this time round has seen him start ahead of Kieran Gibbs more often.

8) Igors Stepanovs, Arsenal, played 17, won 13, win ratio 76.5%

Despite being seen as one of Arsene Wenger’s worst ever signings, the centre-back has a weirdly good record. Was he not as bad as everyone thought?

7) James Wilson, Manchester United, played 13, won 10, win ratio 76.9%

Another United youngster, and this time a forward. The 19-year-old has looked good when played, but has still found it difficult to get past Radamel Falcao in the pecking order.

6) Hector Bellerin, Arsenal, played 14, won 11, win ratio 78.6%

Seemingly the next great player to come through the North London club’s academy, Bellerin has taken advantage of their recent good run to get himself a good win ratio.

5) Asier Del Horno, Chelsea, played 25, won 20, 80%

Only one season at Stamford Bridge, but the defender was involved in what was a very successful first season at the club for Jose Mourinho.

4) Arjen Robben, Chelsea, played 67, won 55, win ratio 82.1%

Possibly the most impressive on the list as he has played the most games. The winger was a key part of Mourinho’s incredibly successful first spell in London.

3) Gerard Pique, Manchester United, played 12, won 10, win ratio 83.3%

How the Red Devils must be regretting letting the Barcelona star go. While he is impressing in Catalonia, the Red Devils are struggling to replace Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic at centre-back.

2) Stefan Savic, Manchester City, played 11, won 10, win ratio 90.9%

Despite this win ratio and generally looking solid at the back, City let the 24-year-old leave in 2012. With Eliaquim Mangala and Vincent Kompany not looking up to scratch was this a mistake?

1) David Ospina, Arsenal, played 12, won 11, win ratio 91.7%

Only really coming in to the team after New Year’s day, the Chilean has been part of a Gunners side that are still in with an outside chance of mounting a late title challenge. This is despite their poor first half of the campaign.
