The German World Cup winner is out of contract in the summer in what has the be one of the longest running transfer sagas of recent memory.

And The Sun now claim Khedira’s ready to make a decision with Champions League football his priority when choosing a new club.

United are now confident of a top-four finish whilst Liverpool’s European hopes for next season still hanging in the balance.

This and the Red Devil’s greater financial resources, say The Sun, which mean they can easily offer him a contract of around £150,000 per week, mean they are in the driving seat.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Schalke are all also said to be interested in the 28-year-old whilst Liverpool see him as an ideal replacement for the presence and experience of Steven Gerrard in what is a young Liverpool squad.

No decision has yet been confirmed with The Sun claiming his agent, Jorg Neubauer has held meetings with all interested parties over the past few weeks but his future finally looks set to be resolved in the coming month after 12 months of speculation.
