The Red Devils bid farewell to a number of other stars last summer after Louis van Gaal took over at the club, and it seems the Dutchman is ready to wield the axe once again as he approaches his second season in charge.

The players who could be on their way out of United are as follows:

1) David de Gea

One of United’s best players, David de Gea has not yet signed a new contract and is being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

2) Andreas Pereira

A promising young player not yet part of the first-team setup, Andreas Pereira is another player whose future is in doubt this summer.

3) Nani

Out on loan at sporting Lisbon, Nani does not look like having a future in the United starting eleven.

4) Radamel Falcao

A huge disappointment since joining United on loan this season, Radamel Falcao seems certain to return to AS Monaco at the end of the season.

5) Tom Cleverley

On loan at Aston Villa, Tom Cleverley is attracting interest as he seems unlikely to earn a place in the United team anytime soon.

6) Jonny Evans

An inconsistent performer, Jonny Evans’ future is in doubt this summer as United may look to improve defensively.

7) Rafael

Despite being a key player under Sir Alex Ferguson, Rafael is another big name possibly heading for the Old Trafford exit.

8) Javier Hernandez

Currently on loan with Real Madrid, Javier Hernandez is also facing an uncertain summer after an unconvincing few seasons.

9) Will Keane

A promising youngster but with a fight to get into the starting lineup, Will Keane could also be on his way out this summer.

10) Nick Powell

A disappointment since joining the club at a young age, Nick Powell looks unlikely to stay with United beyond this season.

11) Anders Lindegaard

A backup goalkeeper now behind Victor Valdes in the pecking order, Anders Lindegaard looks surplus to requirements at the club.

12) Ben Amos

Finally, Ben Amos is another backup goalkeeper who looks unlikely to have any kind of a future at the club.
