Aston Vila responded admirably to going behind early on against Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final as their main man Christian Benteke clawed his side back on level terms.
Liverpool went ahead after coming under a period of intense pressure with their player of the season Coutinho fashioning a clever opening, whether or not his deflected effort was heading towards goal remains to be seen.
A tactical change from Brendan Rodgers handed Liverpool the advantage as he switched to a back four to took advantage of Aston Villa’s narrow midfield.
However, as ever under a Tim Sherwood side, Aston Villa refused to give up and if any player was to get them back on terms, it had to be Benteke.
Following some lovely build up down the left, Fabian Delph telepathically picked out Benteke who checked back and finished emphatically to set-up an outstanding encounter.
