‘Don’t mess with the Germans’: Twitter reacts to Bayern Munich leading Porto 5-0 at half-time

Social media has gone stir crazy in reaction to Bayern Munich’s first-half demolition job against Porto in the Champions League quarter-final, second leg.

The Bavarian giants went into the contest at the Allianz Arena trailing 3-1 from the first meeting in Portugal, giving the underdogs genuine hope of pulling off a shock and claiming a major scalp on their way to the last four of the competition.

However, it did not take long for their dreams to go up in smoke as Pep Guardiola’s men destroyed their opponents with ruthless and clinical finishing.

Goals from Thiago Alcantara, Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller and a brace from Robert Lewandowski put the Germans 5-0 to the good with only 40 minutes on the clock.
