Anfield side look to re-shuffle their attack.
Liverpool are reportedly readying a move for Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke according to the Daily Mail.
The Villa Park outfit may well sell the Belgian this summer if they can secure £30m for his services and Brendan Rodgers may offer veteran Rickie Lambert as bait in a player plus cash bid for Benteke.
Benteke has been in superb form in recent months, netting eight goals in his last eight fixtures, and may well be open to a high-profile move with his Aston Villa side struggling at the wrong end of the table.
Liverpool have struggled in the final third this term, the loss of Luis Suarez to Barcelona proving key, whilst summer signings Lambert and Mario Balotelli have both failed to make an impact whilst Daniel Sturridge has struggled with form and fitness.
Benteke cost Aston Villa just £7m in 2012 and he has proven very effective and could be the ideal man to boost Liverpool’s attack when the transfer window reopens.
