Liverpool & Chelsea set to miss out on Brazilian wonderkid

Premier League duo Liverpool and Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow in their attempts to sign Lazio’s Brazilian wonderkid Felipe Anderson after he admitted that he would love a move to La Liga giants Barcelona, according to reports.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has been one of the stand out performers in Serie A this season and has played a starring role for Lazio scoring 10 goals in 27 league appearances as they look to secure Champions League qualification for the first time since 2008.

His form has seen him linked with a host of top European clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea, but it appears Barcelona is his preferred destination should he decide to leave the Italian capital after being quoted in a Brazilian publication Globo Esporte that it would be difficult to turn down the Catalan outfit:

“At the moment I’m only thinking about Lazio. However, if an opportunity to play for a big club like Barcelona presented itself, I’d be happy.” he said (via Goal.com)

Should a deal for Anderson happen it would have to take place next year once the transfer ban for Barca is lifted.
