Thorgan Hazard believes brother Eden will stay with champions Chelsea for “a long time”

Thorgan Hazard is confident that his champion brother Eden has no desire to leave Chelsea amid reported interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The PFA Player of the Year has enjoyed an outstanding season at Stamford Bridge, and has certainly lived up the pressure of being handed the no.10 shirt in the summer – having been the standout performer in the Blues’ stunning title winning campaign.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho worried English game might hold back Eden Hazard

As a result of his performances, the transfer grapevine has been quick to link the 24-year-old with an exit from the Premier League champions, with the Daily Star report, Real Madrid and PSG poised to make a move.

Thorgan, however, who will leave the Blues permanently in the summer after signing a five-year deal with Borussia Monchengladbach back in February, is certain that his brother will stay put, as he wants to fire the club to Champions League glory, once again.

“He is really, really focused on Chelsea,” the 22-year-old revealed.

“He wants to win the Champions League there and now he has signed a new contract and enjoys England,” he added.

“Eden feels good in the Chelsea team and plays with good players.

“Eden is very happy and he is winning trophies.

“His family is settled, he’s enjoying his time, he has signed a new contract to stay for a long time.”

Hazard signed a new deal in mid-February, committing his future to the West London outfit until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The Belgian’s strike against Crystal Palace was enough to seal the title for Mourinho’s men on Sunday afternoon with three games to spare, and means the trophy returns to Stamford Bridge for the first time in five seasons.
