The Blues have blown away the competition, and are very worthy winners of the division. Here are five reasons why…

5) The best defence

After the weekend the Stamford Bridge outfit have the best back line in the top fight. They have conceded 27 goals in the 35 matches so far, which is one less than next lowest Southampton. John Terry has been brilliant at the heart of the defence all season, and Nemanja Matic has done a great job of protecting his captain from pacy forwards.

4) They’re not actually that boring

Although fans of opposing sides like to label the Blues as boring, their goal count is anything but. Only Manchester City have scored more than the league winners’ 69, and wins such as their 6-3 against Everton and 5-0 versus Swansea were exciting enough for most.

3) A brilliant manager

Whatever you may think of Jose Mourinho personally, he is a great football manager. The 53-year-old has won league titles in four different nations, and also has two Champions League medals to his name. Chelsea’s record against other top sides shows how great a tactician the Portuguese is as well.

2) The best player

Harry Kane may have a lot of goals, Aguero may have ridiculous ability, and David De Gea may have single handedly got Manchester United in to the Champions League, but no one can match Eden Hazard in the Premier League.

1) Great signings

Bringing former Arsenal hero Cesc Fabregas to the club was a big decision, and it has paid off massively with the Spaniard becoming key to their title charge. Meanwhile Diego Costa brought the one thing Chelsea were missing last time round, a cutting edge.
