Ten strikers every Premier League club will be after this summer, with Man United outcast, Edinson Cavani and former Chelsea star

After 34 matches, the Rossoneri sit in 11th place. It looks like their wait for a return to Europe—let along their wait to return of the pinnacle of the Italian game—will go on for some time.

However, there is some encouragement to be found in the off-the-field developments at the club.

Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol has agreed in principle to become a major stakeholder at Milan and is planning to make a €200 million war chest available to enable the club to make a big splash in the transfer window this summer.

There has been no shortage of rumours linking the seven-time European Cup winners to some fine players this summer.

In this feature, we plan and plot the Diavolo’s transfer spending this summer and consider some of the key additions they could make to their squad.

Radamel Falcao
With Manchester United looking unlikely to extend Radamel Falcao’s stay at the club beyond the end of his disappointing loan spell this summer, the Colombian’s future remains up in the air.

According to Fichajes.net, Milan are not dissuaded by the striker’s underwhelming showing in the Premier League and would be keen to take a gamble on the former FC Porto hitman.

Alex Kolarov
The Serbian defender has made little secret of his desire to return to Serie A this summer, and after five years away, the time might be right for the ex-Lazio man to make his comeback.

However, a return for the left-sider might be complicated; he signed a new £130,000-per-week deal at Manchester City last summer, but has only made 13 Premier League starts this season.

Surely, Milan would never look to match those wages (who would?) but will Kolarov stick with the money or make his return to Italy?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Silvio Berlusconi remains an enormous fan of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the Swedish striker is also believed to be open to a return to Lombardy.

Now 33, the management are PSG are reportedly keen to identify a successor for the former Barcelona man, and may be willing to offload their star man.

Zlatan, despite his age, still has the potential to be a talismanic recruit for the Rossoneri.

Marco Van Ginkel
It looks unlikely—considering the options available to Jose Mourinho—that Marco Van Ginkel has any future in the heart of Chelsea’s midfield.

He hasn’t enjoyed a great season at Milan—largely because of ankle ligament injuries that have severely reduced his options in the first team—but has recently returned to the side.

Still only 22, Milan might have seen enough—on and off the pitch—to suggest that the Dutchman could be a key figure in the club’s rebuilding.

Christian Benteke
Premier League giants such as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have been linked to Christian Benteke, but a moneyed AC Milan may be able to do enough to convince the Aston Villa striker to leave the Premier League.

The Serie A are already believed to have made contact with the player and while injury concerns remain, his run of 11 goals in his last nine matches has been a fierce reminder of his class.

Brendan Rodgers
Filippo Inzaghi has endured a tricky campaign at Milan.

It is by no means guaranteed that he would retain his job should Taechaubol’s major deal go through.

If the new man decides on a change of coach, might Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers be a viable option for the fallen giants?

Last year, the Northern Irish coach demonstrated his ability to revitalise the Reds, but the club’s failings this term have raised questions about his job security.

Might Milan—keen for a similar impact—take the plunge should Rodgers find himself out of work?

Aleksandar Mitrovic
The Anderlecht striker is being courted by several major clubs across Europe, with Manchester United, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli believed to be keen on his signature.

Olympique de Marseille are also believed to be keen on the Serbian forward, but they may all face competition from an ambitious Milan.

It is believed that a fee of £11 million might be enough to bring the 20-year-old to the San Siro.
