Bayern Munich official discusses possible move for Chelsea ace Eden Hazard

Bayern Munich’s scout Daniel Van Buyten has discussed the possibility of the German giants signing Chelsea hero Eden Hazard, and admits that they have been priced out of a move for the winger.

As Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben are reaching the latter stages of their career, boss Pep Guardiola is in the hunt for replacements to the duo, but Hazard is not an option for the club.

Thorgan Hazard believes brother Eden will stay with champions Chelsea for “a long time”

Van Buyten said, “Bayern would never sign a player like Eden Hazard. He would cost between €70-80 million [£52-59m] and that is a lot of money, even for Bayern,” as quoted by Goal.com.

“They would rather sign a 17-year-old or an 18-year-old who would cost €5m [£3.7m] or so.”

Hazard has been the star performer for Chelsea this season, and capped off a stunning personal campaign – in which he bagged the PFA Player of the Year award – by sealing the Premier League title for the Blues after scoring the winning goal against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Speculation linking the Belgian to an exit from Stamford Bridge isn’t set to faze the 24-year-old who, according to his brother Thorgan, wants to remain with the champions of England for years, and help bring the Champions League trophy back to west London.
