The values are created by looking at the operating incomes, debt, and overall revenues of the sides to find out how much it could take to buy the club. However, they do not take in to account how much some owners may want to hold on their teams in the values.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich are involved from the continent, and here is the Premier League dominated list from the respected publication…

20) Galatasaray, $294 million

One of the biggest clubs in Turkey has a huge fanbase and regular Champions League football to thank for this.

19) West Ham United, $309 million

Not the most fancied team in the English top flight, the Hammers have nonetheless beaten off some more illustrious competition to get here. The upcoming move to the Olympic stadium might help further.

18) Newcastle United, $349 million

A 50,000 capacity ground helps the Magpies, however unhappy the fans filling it might be.

17) Napoli, $353 million

Serie A is getting stronger again in recent years, as shown by the move of Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli.

16) Atletico Madrid, $436 million

Still massive underdogs in La Liga compared to Barcelona and Real Madrid, the Rojiblancos aren’t doing too badly compared to some teams in Europe.

15) Inter Milan, $439 million

Not the continental or domestic force they were just five years ago, but the Nerazzurri may be on the comeback trail under Roberto Mancini.

14) Schalke, $572 million

Julian Draxler and Max Meyer are just two of the top class youngsters to have made their names at the Bundesliga side. Their ability to make money from sales may be vital in a league dominated by Bayern Munich.

13) Tottenham, $600 million

The emergence of Harry Kane, Joe Mason, and Nabil Bentaleb won’t do any harm in terms of selling value. A possible new stadium could also help the North Londoners to continue growing.

12) PSG, $634 million

It is very surprising that  a team that spends much as the Ligue 1 champions is this low on the list. Surely they are worth more than this?

11) Borussia Dortmund, $700 million

Sadly with Jurgen Klopp now about to join the ever growing list of high profile departures from the German side it doesn’t seem that this value will be so high for very long.

10) AC Milan, $775 million

It is hard to believe that a side which is struggling to even get close to Europa League qualification is in the top ten most valuable teams in the world.

9) Juventus, $837 million

Four Serie A titles in a row and now in with a chance of getting to the Champions League final, the Italian giants are a club on the rise.

8) Liverpool, $982 million

Without Champions League football next season, how long will they be able to hang on to their stars at Anfield? Or keep their value so high?

7) Arsenal, $1.31 billion

Manager Arsene Wenger’s big money signings of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in recent years will have boosted the Gunners’ worth. The fact they are well run will also entice any buyers.

6) Chelsea, $1.37 billion

The Premier League champions aren’t the most valuable in the division, but they are still in the top three.

5) Manchester City, $1.38 billion

With how much the Citizens have spent since their mega money takeover it would be surprising if they weren’t involved in the top end of this list.

4) Bayern Munich, $2.35 billion

Their feeding off the others in the Bundesliga may have ruined the spectacle of the league, but it has made the Allianz Arena outfit a very strong side.

3) Manchester United, $3.1 billion

Louis van Gaal has spent big since becoming United boss, and doesn’t look likely to stop doing so soon. How long can the Red Devils keep up that spending without taking a hit on the financial side of things?

2) Barcelona, $3.16 billion

The Catalan club’s front line is probably worth more than many entire clubs. How does anyone have a chance?

1) Real Madrid, $3.26 billion

If the Galacticos weren’t top you can be sure they would soon buy some more players to make sure they got back there.
