GK: David Ospina

A revelation for Arsenal this season, David Ospina’s fine form in goal arguably gives the club its best goalkeeper since Jens Lehmann.

DR: Bacary Sagna

A top class right-back who left the club last summer for Manchester City, Bacary Sagna is one recent Arsenal star who may well have got into the Invincibles side.

DL: Kieran Gibbs

He’s not Ashley Cole, but Kieran Gibbs has been a top performer for Arsenal and is probably their best recent left-back overall.

DC: Laurent Koscielny

A top class centre-back, Laurent Koscielny has proven a great signing for Arsenal after five years of solid service.

DC: Thomas Vermaelen

Despite a poor end to his Arsenal career, Thomas Vermaelen was a good signing for the Gunners in his early time with the club, showing himself to be a leader and fighter with a great eye for goal.

MC: Cesc Fabregas

Introduced into the Arsenal first-team the year after the Invincibles, Cesc Fabregas is undoubtedly one of the finest midfielders in the club’s recent history.

MC: Santi Cazorla

Shining in a deeper midfield role this season, Santi Cazorla has been a superb signing for Arsene Wenger’s side and a real class above some of the players used there previously, like Alex Hleb and Samir Nasri.

AMR: Alexis Sanchez

A truly world class winger, there’s no doubt Alexis Sanchez would get into that Invincibles side, and Arsenal fans will hope his signing sparks a new era of big-name buys to get the club back to the top.

AMC: Mesut Ozil

Another Arsenal Galactico, Mesut Ozil has slowly found top form for the Gunners after his club-record move from Real Madrid, and at his best he’s up there with many Invincibles players.

AML: Andrey Arshavin

Despite badly losing his way, Russian winger Andrey Arshavin made a terrific start to life at Arsenal and for a year and a half looked a great buy.

FC: Robin van Persie

A genuine world class striker, Robin van Persie is certainly among the best post-Invincibles stars even if he is now a hated figure for joining rivals Manchester United.
