With one signing already in the bag, PSV Eindhoven’s Memphis Depay already confirmed by the Premier League side, we predict Louis van Gaal is set for a very busy summer.

Here’s how we think Man United may line-up for 2015/16.

David de Gea

Spanish keeper has been in fine form this term and isn’t a player Louis van Gaal will listen to offers for.

Luke Shaw

Youngster has had injury issues but will be a first choice in the left-back role in 2015/16

Marcos Rojo

Argentine is adapting to life in the top tier and is sure to figure prominently in Louis van Gaal’s XI next term.

Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund)

World Cup winner is seen by van Gaal as the ideal man to solidify the Man United defence.

Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton)

England man is apparently very close to signing for the Old Trafford side.

Michael Carrick

Upturn in form this season down in no small part to the veteran midfielder’s metronome displays in the centre of the park.

Ander Herrera

Spaniard has impressed in his debut campaign and teams up well with experienced midfield partner Carrick.

Wayne Rooney

We see the club captain as being used in a more withdrawn attacking role.

Juan Mata

We elect to use the Spaniard in a floating wide-role, alternating with Memphis Depay.

Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich)

Louis van Gaal hopes to bring in the German international and we’ll elect to use him in a centre-forward role.

Memphis Depay

Newly acquired wide-man will play on the wing, providing plenty of goal-scoring support in the final third.
