Diego Costa – Chelsea
The forward has been missing since early-April after limping off against Stoke City, but his 19 domestic goals were crucial in helping the Blues clinch the Premier League title for the first time in five seasons.
Mesut Ozil – Arsenal
The German playmaker has been on the harsh receiving end of unjust criticism from the British press during his time so far in England. However, the 26-year-old has been key to Arsenal’s surge up the table in the second-half of the season.
Eden Hazard – Chelsea
The PFA Player of the Year has been outstanding this term. It was his goal against Crystal Palace that clinched Chelsea the Premier League title with three games to spare.
Santi Cazorla – Arsenal
The Spanish playmaker is mesmerising to watch on the ball, and alongside Mesut Ozil he forms the most creative midfield in England.
David de Gea – Manchester United
Without a doubt the Red Devils stopper has been the best goalkeeper in the league and Manchester United’s star performer this season.
Louis van Gaal’s greatest piece of business in the summer could perhaps be ensuring that the Spaniard doesn’t make the switch to Real Madrid.
Philippe Coutinho – Liverpool
The little Brazilian is magical on the ball, but there’s no doubt that the playmaker has much more to offer Liverpool – even if he has been widely celebrated this term.
John Terry – Chelsea
The Chelsea captain has had a stunning season; leading his Blues team-mates to Premier League title glory.
His goal against Liverpool at the weekend saw the former England skipper become the highest ever goal-scoring defender in the history of England’s top flight.
Sergio Aguero – Manchester City
The Argentine’s hat-trick versus Queens Park Rangers at the weekend means we are sure to see the forward end the season with the Golden Boot award.
It’s hard to believe that with his stunning goal-scoring form the City striker didn’t make the PFA Team of the Year.
Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur
The young striker has enjoyed an astonishing breakthrough season at White Hart Lane – scoring 28 goals in all competition.
This figure is even more impressive when we remind ourselves that the forward wasn’t handed his first Premier League start by boss Mauricio Pochettino until November.
Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal
The Chilean is the summer signing of the season – having scored 23 goals and registered nine assists in all competitions.
One of the most exciting attacking players to watch in the Premier League.
