£2,500! Tickets for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s final Anfield game on sale for whopping price

Any Premier League fan thinking of grabbing a last-minute ticket to watch Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard’s Anfield farewell on Saturday may have to reconsider – as it could cost a whopping £2,500.

The Reds captain is set to walk out for the final time at Anfield on Saturday evening, as Brendan’s boys take on Crystal Palace in their final home game of the Premier League season.

Unsurprisingly, sellers have taken advantage of the occasion by ramping up their prices.

Officially the game is listed in the ‘Category C’ section – meaning it should cost between £37 and £49 for a ticket.

However, The Independent report finding tickets in the Anfield Road stand listed on for £2,500. While the price of watching on from the Centenary Stand was offered for £2,448.

The clash will be the last time the Premier League icon will walk out onto the Anfield turf, and is set to be an emotional day for Gerrard and his adoring fans.

After 27-years on Merseyside, the former England skipper has called it a day with his boyhood club, and will be jetting off to LA to team up with his new Galaxy team-mates in the MLS at the end of the season.
