Raheem Sterling’s agent releases statement on client’s Liverpool future
This will have piqued the interest of several clubs across Europe to the availability of one of the continent’s brightest young talents. With his great dribbling skills and ability to play across the front line the 20-year-old will not be short of suitors.
Here are six of the clubs to have been linked to signing the England international…
6) Arsenal
If there is one thing that the Gunners don’t need it is an attacking midfielder. Even so the Metro thinks they are in pole position to sign Sterling. The youngster could potentially play on the right of an attacking three with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez behind the striker. That front line could be a title winner.
5) Manchester United
Although the fans would likely turn on the winger if he went to Old Trafford, nothing can be ruled out. The Metro believe that the Red Devils may try a shock move for the forward, and he could join Memphis Depay as an attacking force for United.
4) Real Madrid
After a season without a single trophy the Galacticos will be looking for new signings to bolster their faltering line up. Sky Sports have revealed that Los Blancos are monitoring the youngster, and he could follow in Gareth Bale’s footsteps from the Premier League to La Liga.
3) Bayern Munich
With Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery no getting any younger, the Bundesliga champions are going to be looking for their replacements in the near future. With the Metro confirming that they are interested, the draw of Pep Guardiola could bring Sterling to the Allianz Arena.
2) Chelsea
Not known for their ability to help young players fulfill their potential, the Blues have somewhat changed that recently with players such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The Daily Mail believes that the 20-year-old could go to Stamford Bridge, and being managed by Jose Mourinho almost guarantees trophies for the ambitious forward.
1) Juventus
Paul Pogba and Alvaro Morata have shown how young talent can flourish in Turin, and that could entice Sterling to the Serie A champions. The Daily Mail have linked Massimiliano Allegri’s side to the winger, who could add some pace and attacking threat to a side which is already solid at the back.
