Manchester United’s immense 2015/16 XI with five new signings, including Sterling, Depay & new goalkeeper

Manchester United are reportedly plotting some amazing transfer moves for this summer, so here’s a look at how their likely starting lineup could look next season if they do manage to land their ambitious targets, including exciting names in attack as they pursue Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling. How to fit him in alongside Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata and the incoming Memphis Depay…?

GK: Hugo Lloris

Linked as an ideal replacement for Real Madrid target David de Gea, Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris could be United’s new first-choice goalkeeper next season.

DR: Nathaniel Clyne

A top target from Southampton, Nathaniel Clyne has had a superb season and looks an ideal choice to come in as the club’s new main right-back.

DL: Ashley Young

With Ashley Young being one of the surprise performers of the season, there’s no reason to think he shouldn’t continue at left-back next term.

DC: Chris Smalling

A fine defender who has improved greatly this season, Chris Smalling may still be first choice in central defence for Louis van Gaal’s side in 2015/16.

DC: Mats Hummels

Alongside him will surely be long-term target Mats Hummels, who looks increasingly likely to leave Borussia Dortmund for an exciting move to Old Trafford.

MC: Marouane Fellaini

A much improved member of United’s midfield, Marouane Fellaini deserves to keep his place in the Red Devils lineup ahead of some possible new signings.

MC: Ander Herrera

Another top class midfielder, Ander Herrera has proven a big hit for United this season and will surely still be a regular next term.

AMR: Raheem Sterling

An ambitious target from rivals Liverpool, Raheem Sterling would be a superb signing for United and would surely instantly command a place on the right-hand side.

AML: Memphis Depay

Set to join from PSV, Memphis Depay is another excellent young talent who could spell the end for Angel Di Maria at Old Trafford.

AMC: Juan Mata

Surely first choice in this role after a great season, Juan Mata has shown his worth for United and will surely be key next season as well.

FC: Wayne Rooney

Club captain and star striker, Wayne Rooney has made himself undroppable after some improved form this season and should continue to lead the attack.
