Arsenal transfer rumours
Arsene Wenger has seemingly identified the main areas that need strengthening after another failed Premier League title challenge this term, and it looks as though these world class names could be just what the club needs to establish themselves as a force again.
According to recent speculation, here’s a look at how Arsenal could line up next season…
Set to leave Chelsea after losing his place, Petr Cech is wanted by Arsenal and would make a superb buy as their new number one.
DR: Hector Bellerin
An exciting youngster, Hector Bellerin looks to have done enough to be first choice at right-back again next season.
DL: Nacho Monreal
Another improved player this term, Nacho Monreal could continue to keep Kieran Gibbs out of the Arsenal starting lineup in 2015/16.
DC: Gabriel
Perhaps set to be promoted to first choice after arriving in January, Gabriel looks a good long-term replacement for Per Mertesacker.
DC: Laurent Koscielny
Still first choice, Laurent Koscielny deserves to stay a key part of the Gunners’ first-team for next season.
MC: Francis Coquelin
A fine defensive midfielder, Francis Coquelin has had a great breakthrough season and is likely to keep his place in the starting XI.
Joining him, however, could be the superb Arturo Vidal from Juventus, with growing speculation that Arsenal want to beat Liverpool to the Chilean international.
AMR: Alexis Sanchez
One of Arsenal’s best players this season, Alexis Sanchez has proven a great signing and will play a key role for the club again next year.
AML: Santi Cazorla
Another in-form Gunners attacker, Santi Cazorla’s form has been instrumental for Wenger’s side this term and he stays a part of the starting lineup.
AMC: Mesut Ozil
An improvement on his first season, Mesut Ozil should continue as Arsenal’s main number ten for 2015/16.
Just ahead of him, Ozil’s old Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema is supposedly a target for Arsenal and would make a huge upgrade on Olivier Giroud.
