Sevilla will be out to secure back to back Europa League titles when they take on first timers Dnipro in the final lateer this evening in Warsaw.

The winners of the 44th edition of the tournament, European secondary competition, will earn the right to play against the winners of the Champions League in the 2015 UEFA Super Cup.

Unai Emery’s side are bidding to win a fourth Europa League title, with all their previous three coming since 2006.

In their first ever final in 2006 they beat Middlesbrough and then defended their crown by beating Espanyol a year later while last season they beat Benfica in the final.

This time out they the relatively unknown, Dnipro.

The teams have never met before with the Ukrainian side are in their first ever final. Prior to this season their great European achievement was reaching the quarter-finals of the European Champion Clubs’ Cup in 1984/85 and 1989/90 as Soviet title-holders.

Dnipro have only ever face Spanish opposition on one other occasion, losing to Real Zaragoza in the 2004/2005 UEFA Cup group stages.

Coach Myron Markevych will be without Roman Zozulya and Serhiy Kravchenko for the tie while midfielder Yevhen Shakhov is a doubt. Sevilla meanwhile are without goalkeeper Beto and defender Nicolas Pareja.

Should Sevilla win they would make history by becoming the first side win the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League for a fourth time overtaking Inter Milan, Juventus and Liverpool FC, who like them also have three victories.

England experienced a tough season in European competition however they will be represented in the final with Martin Atkinson appointed as the man in the middle. The 44-year-old has been an international referee since 2006 and has officiated 67 UEFA fixtures.
