Manchester United and Liverpool flops in Twitter team of the year

The Blues may have won the Premier League title comfortably this season, but they are already looking at bringing in some big names to ensure they are favourites to come out on top again next year.

Read on to see the champions’ seven main targets for this summer…

1) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

Despite his awful season on loan at Manchester United, Chelsea could look to try signing Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco this summer as they eye a replacement for Didier Drogba. The Colombian international may be past his best, but could still play a key backup role at Stamford Bridge.

2) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

One of the best young talents in Europe, Raheem Sterling of Liverpool has also been strongly linked with Chelsea in recent times and would make a great signing out wide.

3) Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)

Another exciting winger being considered is Benfica star Nicolas Gaitan, who would no doubt make an upgrade on the highly disappointing Juan Cuadrado for the Blues.

4) Paul Pogba (Juventus)

In another move for a former Manchester United flop, Chelsea could try to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who has become regarded as one of the top talents in world football since swapping Old Trafford for Turin in 2012.

5) Antonio Rudiger (Stuttgart)

A solid German international defender, Stuttgart star Antonio Rudiger has been linked several times with Chelsea and could be a useful buy to add more depth at the back.

6) Rob Green (Queens Park Rangers)

With Petr Cech likely to leave, Chelsea are considering a surprise move to sign Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green to play backup to Thibaut Courtois next season.

7) Marcus Bettinelli (Fulham)

Finally, Chelsea may also look to sign Fulham shot-stopper Marcus Bettinelli to play that role, with the Championship star impressing this season.
