The German international has long been linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs after some superb form in the Bundesliga for Dortmund down the years.

However, it now looks as though interest from the Gunners and from Real may have cooled this summer, with United now increasingly hopeful that they could succeed in landing the 25-year-old with a £50m offer.

Reus may well be considering his future at the Westfalenstadion after a difficult season which will also see manager Jurgen Klopp leave after the German Cup final clash against Wolfsburg.

Although it is not yet clear if Reus will move or where he will end up, the Daily Star claims United are ready to revive their interest, with Louis van Gaal clearly looking for new additions up front.
