(Video) Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa FA Cup final highlights: Arsene Wenger defends FA Cup crown

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will be happy with his charges, and here is how they matched up…

GK) Wojciech Szczesny, 5

Such was their dominance that the Poland international had little to do. Even so, he looked dodgy attempting to collect several crosses.

LB) Nacho Monreal, 7

Solid from the Spaniard, who also added some extra thrust in attack.

RB) Hector Bellerin, 7

Similar to Monreal, using his pace to hurt the Villans.

CB) Per Mertesacker, 8

Dealt very well with the threat of Christian Benteke, regularly beating him in the air. Capped his performance with a deserved goal.

CB) Laurent Koscielny, 7

Didn’t have much to do, but the 29-year-old did what he had to well.

CM) Francis Coquelin, 7

Also didn’t have a huge amount to do, but made sure their Midlands opponents weren’t able to counter attack with any real threat.

CM) Santi Cazorla, 8

At the heart of most of the Gunners’ attacks, pulling the strings from deep to tear Aston Villa apart.

CAM) Mesut Ozil, 7

The game seemed to pass the World Cup winner by somewhat, but he also didn’t do anything wrong.

LW) Alexis Sanchez, 9

Amazing goal, and well deserved as well for yet another all action display. Where would the North Londoners be without their talismanic forward?

RW) Aaron Ramsey, 7

Not his natural position but the Welshman did a good job out wide.

ST) Theo Walcott, 9

Another goal for the England international, and he looks very dangerous playing centrally. Surely manager Arsene Wenger needs to keep him on the books over the summer?

SUB) Olivier Giroud, 8

Well taken goal, but he may have to get used to playing from the bench if Walcott continues with his current form next season.

SUB) Jack Wilshere, 6

Didn’t impart much influence in his fifteen minutes on the pitch. However, it is just good to see the injury prone midfielder playing regularly.

SUB) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 6

Only had a few minutes out there, not enough to show his talent.
