Raheem Sterling will only stay at Liverpool if Jurgen Klopp takes over as manager

This will be bad news for the Merseyside club, who are already having trouble with current ace Raheem Sterling over his wage demands. His Belgian counterpart is currently on £60,000 a week at Villa Park, but seems to want a 150% pay rise before he agrees to a move away.

The 24-year-old has certainly been in good form for the Midlands side, scoring 16 times in 37 appearances last season. Perhaps more impressively since the arrival of new manager Tim Sherwood he has 13 in 17 matches, and it is this late surge that would seem to have caught the eye of the Premier League giants.

With a release clause of £32.5m, Benteke could end up costing whoever signs him £70 million if he were to sign a four year deal with them at his current wage demands. Paying so much is potentially risky given the struggles of Wilfried Bony at Manchester City have shown how difficult it can be for players to continue their form after moving clubs.
