The Colombian isn’t the only Blues ace finding it difficult to thrive with the London side. While manager Jose Mourinho has created a brilliant starting XI, his lack of rotation has left many out of favour and struggling for form without regular football.

Here are the players who the Portuguese could get rid of and raise some vital funds to finance more incoming signatures…

8) Juan Cuadrado

Signed just over five months ago, the winger has played just 12 times in the Premier League since. Eight of those appearances have also been from the bench, with Willian and Eden Hazard usually favoured out wide. Could a quick departure be on the cards?

7) Filipe Luis

After winning La Liga and getting to the final of the Champions League in 2013/14 the left-back was one of Mourinho’s high profile signings along with Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa last summer. However, the 29-year-old has been unable to dislodge Cesar Azpilicueta from the team and although selling him would sacrifice some squad depth it could be a way of getting a large transfer fee in.

6) Mohamed Salah

Just back from a loan period at Fiorentina, the 22-year-old impressed enough in Italy to perhaps earn a another chance in the Blues first team. However, if he hasn’t then several clubs will surely be keen to sign the winger.

5) Oriol Romeu

At Stuttgart throughout the last season, and seemingly unwanted at Stamford Bridge almost as soon as he joined back in 2011. This is despite impressing with Valencia in La Liga as well as in the Bundesliga in recent seasons. His sale could be similar to those of Romelu Lukaku ad Kevin De Bruyne in recent seasons, both youngsters who weren’t given a chance at Stamford Bridge.

4) Marko Marin

Since joining Chelsea in 2012 the German has been on successive loans to Sevilla, Fiorentina, and now Anderlecht. It looks likely that the attacking midfielder will never make it with the Blues and they may be forced to give him away for pennies after such a disappointing time.

3) John Obi Mikel

A stalwart at the club for the last nine years, it finally be time for the 28-year-old to move on. With Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic holding down the central midfield roles the Nigerian has largely been restricted to cameo roles this season. In order to further his career Mikel should maybe think about going somewhere he is a guaranteed starter.

2) Victor Moses

Successful at Stoke City last term, the winger had his season cruelly cut short at the beginning of April by a hamstring injury. However, he had done enough by then to catch the eye of any prospective sides and help the Blues to sign new players while passing Financial Fair Play regulations.

1) Petr Cech

The Stamford Bridge hero has found himself playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois since last summer, and could move on as a result. Still a world class goalkeeper, clubs will be queueing down the street for his signature. Arsenal have already been strongly linked by the Metro.
