1) Pascal Cygan (Arsenal)

An awful defender for Arsenal, Pascal Cygan did not contribute a great deal to the Gunners’ Premier League title win in 2003/04, and one feels if he had played a few more games the club may well not have managed to go unbeaten that year!

2) Alexander Buttner (Manchester United)

A left-back who couldn’t defend, it didn’t take long for Alexander Buttner to lose his place in the Manchester United squad, though he still managed just enough appearances for a winners’ medal in 2012/13.

3) Francis Jeffers (Arsenal)

Scoring only two Premier League goals in 2001/02, Francis Jeffers has to go down as one of the biggest Arsenal flops of all time, but he did still get his hand on that trophy that has eclipsed legends like Steven Gerrard.

4) Diego Forlan (Manchester United)

Another striker who didn’t score nearly enough, Diego Forlan may have had a great career in Spain, but he barely deserves his winners’ medal at Manchester United.

5) Asier Del Horno (Chelsea)

Lasting just one season before being replaced by Ashley Cole, Asier Del Horno was one of Jose Mourinho’s worse buys at Chelsea, but he’s another who benefitted from being in an otherwise strong squad.

6) Juan Sebastian Veron (Manchester United)

Another famous Manchester United flop, Juan Sebastian Veron won the title in 2002/03 but did precious little to contribute to the victory.

7) Alan Smith (Manchester United)

Playing only nine league games in 2006/07, Alan Smith may have been liked for his work rate, but he was clearly not good enough for Manchester United and he was sold to Newcastle United that same summer.

8) Shaun Wright-Phillips (Chelsea)

A big Chelsea flop, Shaun Wright-Phillips hardly did anything for the Blues as they won the title in 2005/06, despite being a much hyped up signing from Manchester City.

9) Stefan Savic (Manchester City)

A woeful error-prone defender whose mistakes nearly cost City the title, Stefan Savic was quickly shipped off after picking up his winners’ medal in 2011/12.

10) Paulo Ferreira (Chelsea)

A key player in 2005 and 2006, but Paulo Ferreira was out of the picture at Chelsea by the time he picked up his third winners’ medal in 2009/10.
