The France international stopper is one of several keepers to have been linked with a move to United this summer.

With many anticipating David De Gea’s departure to Real Madrid, the Red Devils will likely be in need of a replacement and a successor to the 24-year-old Spaniard.

The likes of Asmir Begovic, Samir Handanovic and Petr Cech have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and the club can also call upon Spanish keeper Victor Valdes, but United are believed to be long-term admirers of Lloris.

While the French keeper recently refused to entertain the idea of a switch to Louis van Gaal’s outfit, reports in France suggest the international No. 1 is keen on a move.

Speaking to Telefoot [via Le 10 Sport], respected journalist Frederic Calenge has confirmed that the 27-year-old likes the idea of a move to Manchester.

“On the surface,” he began, “the project of Manchester really interests him.”

Lloris moved to Spurs in 2012, but has been unable to help the London giants secure qualification to the Champions League. Having finished fourth in the Premier League, however, United could offer Lloris the chance to return to the continental high table.
