Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has four main transfer targets in mind ahead of next season, with reports revealing he will look to strengthen in a number of key areas.

A new goalkeeper could be brought in as Petr Cech looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge, while arrivals are also expected up front, in central midfield and central defence.

Speculation suggests these are the four players the Blues will try to sign to address these issues in their squad…

1) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

A flop at Manchester United, Radamel Falcao is now back with Monaco but has also emerged as a surprise loan target for Chelsea this summer. Mourinho wants a backup centre-forward to replace Didier Drogba, and is willing to give the Colombian another go in the Premier League.

2) Miranda (Atletico Madrid)

One of the best defenders in Europe in recent years, Atletico Madrid’s Miranda is also on Chelsea’s radar this summer, with the Blues arguably in need of more rotation options in that area after relying mainly on John Terry and Gary Cahill for most of this season.

3) Asmir Begovic (Stoke City)

A top class goalkeeper who could make a great substitute for Thibaut Courtois, Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in recent times but is now another player Chelsea hope to land this summer.

4) Alex Song (Barcelona)

With doubts over the future of players like Ramires and John Obi Mikel, Chelsea would also like to sign £6m-rated Barcelona midfielder Alex Song as a squad player, with the former Arsenal man likely to be on the move this summer after spending 2014/15 on loan at West Ham.
