Louis van Gaal elected to send Radamel Falcao back to AS Monaco after a less than glorious loan spell and Dutch forward Robin van Persie struggled for form this term and it appears the Old Trafford side are keen to freshen up their attack.

Man United are willing to fork out £40m for 21 year old England man Kane and if an official offer is made one wonders if the White Hart Lane forward’s head might be turned.

Kane netted 31 goals in 2014/15 and is now a much sought after player and Mauricio Pochettino may struggle to keep hold of the youngster.

£21m rated Brazilian Firmino is another player who interests van Gaal and is perhaps the easier of the pair to land this summer.

The 23 year old has been in fine form at Hoffenheim over the past two seasons and would no doubt jump at the chance of a high profile move to Man United.
