5. Chelsea – 10,218 miles

The Premier League champions will travel the least miles in their preparations to keep the trophy at Stamford Bridge next season.

However, despite the mileage looking favourable, the Blues face one of the busiest pre-seasons in England’s top flight this summer.

Mourinho’s men have already travelled to Bangkok where they beat Thailand All-Stars 1-0 and at the beginning of this month took on Sydney FC in Australia, also winning 1-0. Chelsea are enjoying a short break before playing non-league outfit Kingstonian on July 13. They then fly to the USA to compete in The International Champions Cup – taking part in some of the most exciting pre-season friendlies against New York Red Bulls, Barcelona and PSG.

4. Manchester United – 10,438 miles

Louis van Gaal wasn’t happy with the travelling that the Red Devils did last summer – suggesting that it had an impact on their start to his first season in charge.

The Dutchman, therefore, is pleased that his side will complete much less travel this year [Sky Sports].

Manchester United will make the trip to America where they will compete in the International Champions Cup, along with Chelsea. They take on Club America and San Jose Earthquakes before tough clashes with Barcelona and PSG.

3. Arsenal – 19,040 miles

The Gunners didn’t organise any post-season tours, unlike Chelsea and Manchester City, but will kick off their pre-season preparations next month.

Arsenal start off with a trip to Singapore to compete against Everton, Stoke City and a Singapore XI – with the first game scheduled for July 15.

Arsene Wenger’s men will then return to north London to host their customary Emirates Cup competition, where Olympic Lyonnaise, Villarreal and Vfl Wolfsburg are the clubs taking part on the final weekend in July.

2. Manchester City – 21,076 miles

Manuel Pellegrini’s men travelled to America at the end of May where they beat Toronto FC 1-0 thanks to a wonder goal from youngster George Evans. City were also set to take on Houston Dynama, but the game was cancelled due to extreme weather.

The Citizens will next be in action this summer when they travel to Australia to compete in blockbuster clashes with AS Roma and Spanish giants Real Madrid next month.

1. Liverpool – 30,619 miles

The Reds will take part in a major tour before the start of the 2015-16 campaign. Brendan’s boys will make the long journey to Australia in mid-July, where they will take on Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United, before finishing their pre-season with a trip to Malaysia to take on the country’s selected XI on July 24.

Certainly an exhausting preparation for next season’s Premier League.
