England Under-21s kick off their first game of Euro 2015 today, so here’s a look at the ten best youngsters coming through for the country at youth level, with Chelsea and Arsenal prodigies well worth keeping an eye on…

1) Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea)

Impressive on loan at Reading last season, Nathaniel Chalobah may not get a look-in at Chelsea anytime soon, but if he impresses for the England Under-21s, he may well be playing for a Premier League club before long.

2) Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea)

A terrific midfielder really knocking on the door at Chelsea, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a player who will be hoping to take Euro 2015 by storm.

3) Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal)

Perhaps out of favour at Arsenal now, Carl Jenkinson will need a good tournament to ensure he gets a good move for the summer.

4) Calum Chambers (Arsenal)

Another top Arsenal youngster who has taken Jenkinson’s place at right-back, it will be interesting to see how Calum Chambers performs for England this summer after an impressive first season at the Emirates Stadium.

5) Jack Butland (Stoke City)

One of the country’s most promising goalkeepers, Jack Butland will be another star of the future on show here, and he will hope some good form can get him into the Stoke team.

6) James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

A dead-ball specialist and superbly gifted techincal player, James Ward-Prowse could be an influential player for England this summer after another decent season in the Southampton first-team.

7) Matt Targett (Southampton)

One of many top talents coming through at Southampton, Matt Targett is a young left-back who is likely to be first choice for the Three Lions this summer.

8) Will Hughes (Derby County)

One of the best players in the Championship, it seems only a matter of time before classy midfield playmaker Will Hughes is playing in the Premier League, and a strong European Championships could help his cause.

9) Harry Kane (Tottenham)

A player we all know well by now, but still one worth keeping an eye on for England. Harry Kane scored 31 goals for Tottenham this season and will be desperate to show he’s not a one-season wonder.

10) John Stones (Everton)

Another top player already broken through at senior level for England, John Stones will be a hugely important part of this England team this summer.
