Benzema’s international team-mate Olivier Giroud could lure the forward to the Emirates but – if so – the 27-year-old will surely take his place in attack.
LW – Julian Draxler
The Schalke winger is rumoured to be eager on a switch to the Premier League – and Arsenal are leading the chase [via the Express]. There were suggestions that Wenger could hand the 21-year-old a central forward role if he signs this summer [via the Daily Mail]; however, the Gunners must surely be looking to sign an out-and-out striker, such as Benzema.
