Manchester City are reportedly working on a stunning £163m spending spree this summer in a bid to win back the Premier League title in 2015/16, according to various sources.

Having finished as runners-up to Chelsea in disappointing style last season, Manuel Pellegrini has now been given the backing to make some huge signings ahead of the new campaign.

Despite Financial Fair Play concerns, City are being linked with some of the biggest names in world football in a bid to strengthen in a number of key areas, with these four players looking likely to be on their way to the Etihad Stadium in the coming months:

1) Paul Pogba (Juventus)

One of the best midfielders in the world, Juventus starlet Paul Pogba is seemingly closing in on a move to City after reports today, with the club ready to pay a British transfer record £60m for the 22-year-old Frenchman.

2) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

For a further £50m, City also want to raid rivals Liverpool for the signing of exciting young winger Raheem Sterling, who has shown himself to be an oustanding prospect in recent seasons, even if that fee does look a little risky for one so inexperienced.

3) Pedro (Barcelona)

Linked with an £18m move to the Etihad, Barcelona winger Pedro is also available this summer and could be on his way to Manchester if the club decides to bring in another wide-player alongside Sterling.

4) Nicolas Otamendi (Valencia)

Finally, another £35m could go on signing Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi, who is also a top target for Manchester United but who would be an ideal buy for Pellegrini’s side at the back, with the likes of Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala showing worrying form last season.
