Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United have been linked with as many as SIX players this summer who could end up costing them a club-record transfer fee.

After spending a whopping £59.7m on signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid last year, the Red Devils are now being linked with further big-name additions, with some exciting potential deals that could reach as much as £80m…

1) Sergio Ramos – £65m

A steap fee for an admittedly great defender, Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos has been strongly linked with Manchester United, but he clearly won’t come cheap and could eclipse what the Red Devils paid the Spanish giants for Di Maria last summer.

2) Gareth Bale – £80m

Linked with a huge move to Old Trafford, Gareth Bale could be another big-money buy from Real Madrid in a potential £80m move this summer.

3) Paul Pogba – £60m

Valued at £60m or more, it could cost a club-record fee for United to re-sign a player they let go as a youngster, with Juventus starlet Paul Pogba attracting plenty of interest this summer from the Reds and from many other big European clubs.

4) Kevin Strootman – £60m

An overpriced player perhaps, but AS Roma playmaker Kevin Strootman is a long-time target for United and could be a good addition to their midfield, even if there are surely more affordable options out there.

5) Cristiano Ronaldo – £80m

Another possible £80m player, Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a sensational return to Old Trafford for the same price they sold him to Real back in 2009.

6) Marquinhos – £65m

Finally, United have been linked with another big-name signing in defence, with Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos reportedly valued at around £65m.
