Arsenal transfers: Wenger builds for the future with £42.5m youthful quartet, including Chelsea raid

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is well known for being one of the best managers in the world at finding young talent, and could be set to invest around £42.5m in four top class prospects.

According to various recent reports, the Gunners are looking at a quartet of youngsters to help them build for the future, with these said to be the players on Wenger’s radar:

1) Abdul Rahman Baba (Augsburg)

In a move worth roughly £14m, Arsenal are competing with Chelsea for the signing of exciting Augsburg left-back Abdul Rahman Baba, with the 20-year-old looking one of the best prospects in the Bundesliga at the moment.

2) Charley Musonda (Chelsea)

For £8.5m, Arsenal may also be lining up a raid on their rivals Chelsea for exciting Blues prospect Charley Musonda, who may be in line to follow Petr Cech from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium.

3) Nabil Bentaleb (Tottenham)

In a surprise move, Arsenal could also compete with Liverpool for the £10m signing of Algerian youngster Nabil Bentaleb from rivals Tottenham, with the 20-year-old stalling on signing a new contract at White Hart Lane.

4) Aleksandar Mitrovic (Anderlecht)

In another £10m move, Arsenal are also among the clubs chasing free-scoring Anderlecht starlet Aleksandar Mitrovic. The young Serbian is an outstanding talent and is also wanted by Chelsea and Newcastle United this summer.
