This will allow some clubs to spend more in the transfer window. Sides such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, with massive turnovers or cash reserves, didn’t really need to worry about the rules. However, nouveau-riche teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, and PSG are far more worried about them.

With the laws relaxed, here are five massive deals that could go through…

5) Raheem Sterling, Liverpool to Manchester City, £50m

With the Merseyside club holding out for a massive fee for the England international, this saga has been going on for a while. The Daily Mail has claimed that the Citizens are considering a £50 million bid, which would be enough to tempt the Anfield hierarchy in to selling. Now the rules are relaxed this could go through.

4) Paul Pogba, Juventus to Chelsea, £35.5m + Oscar

Another young player and another massive fee on the cards. Barcelona have made a £56.8 million cash offer for the player but Juve may prefer money plus a replacement in Oscar, which the Blues are offering according to the Metro. Without FFP restrictions a move may be edging closer.

3) Angel Di Maria, Manchester United to PSG, £50m

After a debut season that fell apart at the seams, the 27-year-old has been the subject of a £50 million bid from the Ligue 1 champions, according to the London Evening Standard. If that wasn’t enough the French giants could even up their offer after the recent announcement.

2) Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid to PSG/Chelsea, £43.5m

With a release clause of £43.5 million and 25 goals last season, it is no wonder both the Blues and their French counterparts are interested as the Metro reported. Now both are unchained it could be a fierce transfer battle.

1) Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid to Manchester City, £64m

While Manchester United started the chase for the 29-year-old, but it could be their local rivals who end it. The Daily Mirror have revealed their interest in the Spain international. Real have put a £64 million asking price on the player according to the same article, but with oil rich City anything is possible.
