The Transfer Window is Open – Latest Rumours

The summer transfer window is finally open and it’s time to pop the popcorn and take a sip of a cooling lemonade, as the heat is on. The summer’s transfer window is likely to provide plenty of predictable moves as well as a bunch of surprises.

So what are the latest rumours suggesting? Here’s a quick look at the latest suggestions.

£30 for You and £30 for Me

According to reports on Mirror, the summer’s biggest trade might be made between Real Madrid and Manchester United. The talk of the moment suggests the Manchester Team could increase its bid of Sergio Ramos to £30 million – but only if the Spanish football team is prepared to do the same with United goalkeeper David De Gea.

But like with many things in life, Ramos’ mother has stirred things up by telling a Spanish newspaper the boy wants to stay in Bernabeu.

Goalkeepers Moving Around

The summer’s transfer window could have plenty of goalkeeper-related deals coming up. We’ve already seen the surprising move by Petr Cech from Chelsea to

Arsenal and spent time figuring whether De Gea is going – and for how much. But it now looks like Stoke’s goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is heading to Chelsea, despite the inevitability of being the understudy to number one goalie Thibaut Courtois.

Goals, More Goals

West Bromwich Albion has highlighted its interest towards Liverpool’s Rickie Lambert. The 33-year-old England player has also earlier been linked to a move to QPR and Bournemouth. Watford changed its manager at the end of the season and the new manager, Quique Sanches Flores, is hoping to attract Alvaro Vazques from the Spanish club Getafe to the English club.

Liverpool isn’t always the dream team for top players, considering the rocky displays by the team, but it looks like Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke wants to head down to Merseyside. The striker has reportedly said he’d turn down a move to Tottenham, as he hopes to get a deal with Liverpool. Dutch striker Bas Dost’s price tag seems to be changing every day. The Wolfsburg striker has been linked with a £9 million move to Newcastle United, but some reports suggest the striker will cost £30 million.

Battle in the Midfield

“The team controlling the midfield will win” is one of the most used statements in punditry and the clubs’ hopes to boost their midfield control has led to a number of transfer rumours. Three clubs look to be involved for the Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye, with Crystal Palace, West Ham and Marseille still in contention for the player. Both Chelsea and Manchester United are going after the Turkish midfielder Arda Turan. An announcement is expected at the end of the week! Manchester City’s hopes of securing their two favourite midfielder targets might have taken a turn for the worse. According to the Daily Telegraph, Wolfsburg has vowed to hold on to Kevin De Bruyne and Juventus’ French midfielder, Paul Pogba, could well be heading to Barcelona. It’s going to be a hot summer!
