With speculation that Manchester United are close to agreeing the sale of Nani this summer, here’s a look at four more Red Devils flops who should be axed in this transfer window…
1) Robin van Persie
Past his peak, Robin van Persie managed just ten goals last season and is no longer what United need up front, with clubs like Fenerbahce and Lazio the only ones interested in him this summer.
2) Rafael
Despite a bright start to his United career, Rafael clearly doesn’t have enough in him to command a place in Louis van Gaal’s side as the club search for a new right-back this summer.
3) Angel Di Maria
United’s record signing, Angel Di Maria simply hasn’t done enough in a Red Devils shirt and should be offloaded before he loses his value, with PSG and Bayern Munich still willing to give the Argentine a chance to rediscover his form.
4) Nick Powell
A decent youngster when he arrived, but Nick Powell has not progressed as hoped at Old Trafford, and is another unneeded player who should be shown the door this summer.
