Arsenal transfer news

Arsenal are looking set to bid farewell to two members of their first-team squad in the coming weeks, with the Gunners also planning to bring in their replacements.

Having won the FA Cup last season, Arsenal are not far off building a title-winning side, but manager Arsene Wenger still needs to fine-tune his squad with these changes in personnel:

Out – Tomas Rosicky

Linked with a return to his old club Sparta Prague, Tomas Rosicky could be leaving Arsenal this summer to make way for younger blood, with the Czech Republic veteran no longer a regular in Wenger’s starting lineup.

In – Arturo Vidal

Linked with a £21m move to Arsenal from Juventus, Chilean midfield powerhouse Arturo Vidal could be an ideal replacement for Rosicky in the middle of the park, able to dictate the play from deep and also get forward to good effect.

Out – Lukas Podolski

Set to join Galatasaray today, Lukas Podolski is another player heading out of the Emirates Stadium after losing his place in the side last season and failing to impress on loan at Inter Milan.

In – Pedro

With a far superior signing in attack, Arsenal could make an ambitious move to sign Barcelona winger Pedro as a replacement for Podolski, with reports today claiming the north London giants have opened talks over the £18m-rated Spaniard.
