Manchester City could be lining up an incredible £100m spending spree on four new players this summer, including Paul Pogba, according to claims made by the Daily Telegraph.

The Premier League runners-up are in urgent need of strengthening after a disappointing season, and have been boosted in their efforts to land their top targets this summer after UEFA relaxed its Financial Fair Play restrictions on the club.

Although City are still being monitored, they are now more free to spend big money on the players they want, with the Telegraph stating that these four are the ones topping their list of priorities, in a combined move that would likely cost £100m or more:

1) Paul Pogba (Juventus)

Although the Telegraph do not specify his fee, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is expected to cost a vast amount this summer, with the Daily Express previously reporting that he would cost around £70m, though the Independent recently listed it as £60m. Either way, the 22-year-old should cost somewhere between those two prices and would be a huge signing for City in terms of a long-term replacement for Yaya Toure in midfield and the injection of some real world class quality into their squad.

2) Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg)

Another exciting young attacking midfielder on City’s radar is Kevin De Bruyne, who scored ten goals and set up 20 for Wolfsburg last season. Again, the Telegraph does not list the Belgian international’s expected price, but the Daily Mail have previously estimated that he’d be worth around £35m.

3) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

A player the Telegraph claim is still on City’s radar, despite BBC Sport confirming that the club saw a second bid rejected for the Liverpool forward, Raheem Sterling would be another fine addition to the squad at the Etihad Stadium. It is not yet clear if he would be targeted alongside De Bruyne or as an alternative, but the England international has a similar level of creativity and skill from attacking midfield to add something to a City squad that has gone stale.

4) Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)

Finally, the Telegraph says that City are considering a relatively low-cost move for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph for around £8m. The 25-year-old was in superb form in the Premier League last season, despite his side performing poorly overall and fighting relegation, and there’s no doubt he could be another top class purchase to strengthen City’s midfield and overall squad depth.
