Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move to Arsenal today after rumours Napoli could cash in on the Argentine, so here’s four Gunners stars that would be under real threat from the Argentine’s arrival…

1) Olivier Giroud

Already a player who divides opinion at the Emirates Stadium, Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival from Napoli this summer would surely spell the end of Olivier Giroud’s Arsenal career, with the Frenchman only managing 18 goals last season and fluffing his chances in some big games.

2) Danny Welbeck

After a highly unconvincing first season with the Gunners, Danny Welbeck is certainly not guaranteed a starting spot in his preferred central role as it is, with the former Manchester United man moved out wide in a number of games. Higuain’s arrival would certainly ensure the England international isn’t the main man up front for Arsene Wenger’s side.

3) Theo Walcott

A player who wants to play as a striker and who made a strong case to be a regular in that role with some find end-of-season form, Theo Walcott would be another big name threatened by the arrival of Higuain, which would surely push him back out wide again, or even onto the bench.

4) Aaron Ramsey

No longer in convincing enough form to be first choice in central midfield, Aaron Ramsey played many games on the right flank last season, to mixed success. The Welshman would surely suffer as a result of Higuain’s arrival as well, with either Walcott or Welbeck taking that wide role instead due to losing their places up front.
