Arsenal could lose star midfielder Santi Cazorla to Atletico Madrid this summer and are already being linked with a number of replacements, so here’s our pick of five similar players who could fill the Spaniard’s boots at the Emirates Stadium…

1) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)

Unsettled at Bayern Munich, Mario Gotze has now being linked with a move to Arsenal, who also showed an interest in the German World Cup winner during his days at Borussia Dortmund.

2) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

Valued at a staggering £50m, Marco Reus is another Bundesliga attacker who could do well to replace Cazorla at Arsenal, and he has been strongly linked with the Gunners before, though other big names are also after him.

3) Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg)

Wanted by Manchester City in a £35m deal, Wolfsburg playmaker Kevin De Bruyne looks an absolutely ideal player to replace Cazorla if the north Londoners do end up letting the Spaniard go.

4) Arda Turan (Atletico Madrid)

Possibly heading to Arsenal in a swap deal involving Cazorla, Turkish midfielder Arda Turan would be a fine addition to this Gunners squad, though Chelsea and Barcelona are also chasing him this summer.

5) Pedro (Barcelona)

Not a like-for-like replacement, but Pedro has been linked with Arsenal after falling out of favour at Barcelona and could help the club replace Cazorla’s goals and assists from attacking midfield.
