The French international isn’t the first Spur to depart this summer—Paulinho has already been recruited by Guangzhou Evergrande [The Guardian]—and he isn’t likely to be the last.

In this feature, we run down five more Lillywhites who could follow the two transfer flops out of the door over the coming weeks and months.

Roberto Soldado
Seven goals in two seasons of Premier League action is a stat that tells its own story, and rarely have €30 million signings failed more spectacularly than the Spaniard.

The former Valencia hitman has been linked with a return to La Liga, and Spurs have reportedly opened talks with Villarreal [Mundo Deportivo].

Benjamin Stambouli
For the time being, Watford have only agreed a deal to sign Capoue, but another out-of-sorts French midfielder at Tottenham, Benjamin Stambouli, may soon be following him to Vicarage Road.

The Franco-Algerian player, who previously featured for Montpellier Herault Sport Club, has managed only four starts in the EPL this season, and Sky Sports have reported that he is also close to a move to Watford.

Vlad Chiriches
According to the Standard, Tottenham are prepared to offload Vlad Chiriches, who has been unable to build on his encouraging early showings at White Hart Lane.

AS Roma were previously interested in the defender, but latterly, he has been linked with a move for FC Basel, who would need to pay £7 million to sign him.

Emmanuel Adebayor
When he’s good, he’s very good, but unfortunately for Tottenham fans, those dominating performances just don’t come often enough for Adebayor.

The striker managed only two goals in 13 outings in the Premier League last year—a dreadful outlay for any experienced Premier League striker, let alone one who earns £100,000 a week [Mirror].

He may be offered to Aston Villa as part of a swap deal to bring Christian Benteke to White Hart Lane according to the tabloid.

Moussa Dembele
Moussa Dembele is another player who may prove to be expendable as Mauricio Pochettino looks to clip the dead wood from his side.

The midfielder managed only ten starts in the EPL last term, and is reportedly unsettled. The Mirror report that the Belgium international has requested a meeting with the coach in order to discuss his future.
