Arsenal and Manchester United target posts goodbye message ahead of move

Arsenal and Manchester United target Arturo Vidal has written a goodbye message to Juventus fans ahead of a move away, reports the Daily Express.

However, disappointingly for the Premier League pair it looks likely that the Chile international is on his way to Bayern Munich. The Bavarian outfit are close to completing a £28 million deal for the 28-year-old, which could mean a return to the Bundesliga  for the player. He used to appear for Bayer Leverkusen in the competition before moving to the Old Lady.

Vidal said posted on Instagram: “GRAZIE DI TUTTO! They have been the best years of my career! You, supporters, were always the best with me! ?? I will miss all of you a lot, thank you for everything.”

This will be a let down for the Gunners who look in need of a central midfielder to feature alongside Francis Coquelin in the middle of the park. Currently Arsene Wenger has options such as Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Jack WIlshere for the role, but with those players potentially needed elsewhere and more defensive cover vital, reinforcements will be necessary if the North Londoners are to challenge Chelsea for the Premier League title.

Meanwhile, United may not be as worried about missing out on Vidal. Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger both arrived at the club last Monday to bolster their midfield ranks.
